Marianne Eigenheer and Julius Heinemann developed a unique visual dialogue on drawing during their residency at the Performance Studio in London.

Together the artists embarked on a journey with the intention to share the experimental space together as drawers. It resulted in a series of works, in which the artists have created a dialogue on the walls and also on paper that formulates a delicate meditation on the architectural space, the mental space and the content of the hand- drawn line.

For both Eigenheer and Heinemann drawing is an act of immediacy that emerges from a moment of outmost concentration and freedom and in this moment the act of drawing becomes as much an element of forgetting, as marking an occurrence.
